Bargate International recognise the need to offer a comprehensive range of services designed to be flexible and cost effective in operation. The main services are as follows:

Road

Road freight services are designed to offer a cost effective method of receiving and delivering goods between the U.K. and anywhere in mainland Europe. Our road haulage service offers a number of advantages over other forms of deliveries. Firstly goods are collected from the shipper's premises and delivered directly to the customer's premises or warehouse. All goods are driver accompanied therefore offering higher security coverage. Shipments by road also allow multiple consignments to be delivered to various destinations on route.

Our services are designed to cover any size of consignments from small packages up to a maximum weight of 23,000kg. Vehicles range from vans, articulated, curtain siders, flat beds, tilts and step frame trailers.

Air

Airfreight, including express courier consignments is by far the quickest method of delivering goods outside the EC. With services ranging from airport-to-airport, door-airport and door-to-door suppliers can select the most suitable cost effective method of delivery to their customers. Through our worldwide network of airfreight logistics operators we are able to meet the demands and needs of any customer whether it be express courier, consolidated services, part or full charter. Size restriction is also not an issue when you have the likes of the massive Russian Antonov super freighters available for charter.

All forms of goods can be shipped by air, including hazardous products, subject to regulation compliance.

Sea

A major advantage for Bargate International is in the fact that as an independent freight forwarder the company is not tied to one specific shipping line nor restricted by any agency agreements. This independence has allowed Bargate International to build up a large portfolio of deep and short sea groupage services through conference and non-conference shipping lines, which offer some of the most competitive rates and services available.

Customers have the option to ship consignments by full or groupage containers, conventional or break bulk, charter service and in the case of vehicles, heavy construction equipment or special consignments loaded onto dedicated road haulage vehicles, then, where possible a RoRo service would be provided.

Whilst encompassing all major U.K. sea ports and terminals the Bargate International portfolio covers virtually all major sea ports worldwide including those ports requiring feeder vessel delivery.

Documentation

For many customers there has been the progression from passive importer/exporter to a more active role. With this come the greater demands on staff and management in supporting the shipping functions within the company.

Here we offer a service designed to combine and support customers existing shipping departments. When it comes to situations where existing staff are stretched due to work load, holidays or sickness we can offer to back up these services by undertaking the preparation of many shipping documents, thus allowing the customers staff to undertake the essential tasks such as raising commercial invoices, liasing with factory and production staff in order to expedite goods.

Another good reason for the service comes about when an importer / exporter find that they can no longer cope with the volumes of paperwork and regulations required to carry out shipments in a timely manner.

Under our service operations we can conduct preparation of part or all import/export customs formalities / clearances and banking. Our services cover full shipping documentation including commercial invoices, Certificates of Origin, EC and Arab legalisation, pre-inspection certificates, export declarations and full bank presentations under Letters of Credit and Bank Drafts.

Track & Trace

One of the big advantages we now offer our customers is the one stop online track and trace facility. By reading this, you, like the majority of customers, have online facilities or access to the web. Through this site you now have the ability to monitor your consignments at any time, day or night, without the need to constantly refer back to your forwarder. Our system offers access on a 24/7 basis for all consignments shipped by road, sea and air.

Updated daily, the moment you entrust your consignment with Bargate International it is given a reference number and subsequently logged on our system the same day. All customers are assigned unique login details to allow immediate tracking of their consignments. The unique login codes ensure total security by baring others from viewing the same information.

Consignment tracking allows the customer to check on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. It also allows customers to print off the history of all consignments in any one-month.

At the top of each page, next to our logo you will see the access point, simply type in your user name and password, then click go. It's as simple as that.

Marine Insurance

To give peace of mind it is always wise to take out 'all risk' insurance against your goods as 'acts of god' can strike at any time around the world and as we all know, accidents can happen.

As a fully accredited insurance broker we can offer extremely competitive rates for 'all risk' marine insurance on any road, air and sea consignments, together with the issuance of insurance certificates at the time of shipment.
